Tablet Fish Tank Virtual Reality: a Usability Study
(The Eurographics Association, 2017)
In this paper, we describe the development a tablet FTVR prototype that incorporates both motion parallax and stereo cues with the use of easy-to-find hardware. We also present findings of a usability study based on the prototype.
Towards Biomechanically and Visually Plausible Volumetric Cutting Simulation of Deformable Bodies
(The Eurographics Association, 2019)
Due to the simplicity and high efficiency, composited finite element method(CFEM) based virtual cutting attracted much attention in the field of virtual surgery in recent years. Even great progress has been made in volumetric ...
Panning for Insight: Amplifying Insight through Tight Integration of Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Visualization
(The Eurographics Association, 2018)
With the rapid progress made in Data Mining, Visualization, and Machine Learning during the last years, combinations of these methods have gained increasing interest. This paper summarizes ideas behind ongoing work on ...
Visual Analytics of Event Data using Multiple Mining Methods
(The Eurographics Association, 2019)
Most researchers use a single method of mining to analyze event data. This paper uses case studies from two very different domains (electronic health records and cybersecurity) to investigate how researchers can gain ...
Comparative Visual Analysis of Pelvic Organ Segmentations
(The Eurographics Association, 2018)
In prostate cancer treatment, automatic segmentations of the pelvic organs are often used as input to radiotherapy planning systems. However, natural anatomical variability of the involved organs is a common reason, for ...
Visualizing Functional Regions by Analysis of Geo-textual Data
(The Eurographics Association, 2018)
Using tremendous geo-textual data collected from social media applications, we facilitate the analysis of region functions. By extracting semantics from textual properties, we aim at classifying geographical locations in ...
Visually Analyzing Parameter Influence on Optical Coherence Tomography Data in Ophthalmology
(The Eurographics Association, 2017)
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) enables noninvasive high-resolution imaging of the human retina and therefore, plays a fundamental role in detecting a wide range of ocular diseases. Yet, OCT data often vary in quality ...
Visual Analysis of Urban Traffic Data based on High-Resolution and High-Dimensional Environmental Sensor Data
(The Eurographics Association, 2018)
Urbanization is an increasing global trend resulting in a strong increase in public and individual transportation needs. Accordingly, a major challenge for traffic and urban planners is the design of sustainable mobility ...
Understanding Spatial Perception and Visual Modes in the Review of Architectural Designs
(ACM, 2017)
We investigate how a person's perception of space in di erent visual modes relates to common computational spatial measures for environment designs. The three spatial measures, grounded in Space-Syntax analysis, are used ...
Narrowcasting for Stereoscopic Photospherical Cinemagraphy
(The Eurographics Association, 2019)
We have developed an application which blurs the distinction between static and dynamic imagery in a stereoscopic omnidirectional browser. A ''cinemagraph'' is a living picture, interpolating between a still photo and a ...
