dc.description.abstractIn order to optimize the transformation-clipping-pipeline of PHIGS or GKS-3D it is sometimes necessary to determine whether a plane intersects a perpendicular volume or not. The solution to this problem is not very complicated. This paper offers a more effective procedure that handles this task.en_US
