The generation of highly realistic images using the conventional Ray-Tracing algorithm, in CAD environments, is totally out of the question if we consider the interactive requirements of most CAD systems. In this paper, some ideas are presented that can lead to an interactive environment, based on images produced by Ray-Tracing. The new concepts of Increasing Realism and Interactive Ray-Tracing are introduced, new problems related to them are detailed and some solutions suggested. In short, we present a new version of Ray-Tracing that is considerably different from conventional ones, because it is interactively controlled by the user, who can at any time modify the evolution of the image realism.en_US
