We combine a spreading activation approach for computing focus and context in an ontology with a specific level-of-detail strategy for hierarchical structures. We demonstrate our method on an atlas of the bee brain.Categories and Subject Descriptors (according to ACM CCS): I.3.6 [Computer Graphics]: Methodology and Techniques Interaction Techniques; J.3 [Life and Medical Sciences]: Biology and GeneticsOntology-Based Visualization of Hierarchical Neuroanatomical Structures
