In order to maximise the available information for human identification of faces, a variety of coding schemes based on Binary Tree Predictive Coding 5 (BTPC5) are proposed and evaluated against similar schemes applied to the JPEG coder. The results of these schemes are presented quantatively with some discussion of the subjective results.Coding 3D Facial Models forMugshot Applications10.2312/vvg.20031018
