Thus it is becoming fundamental to develop techniques for extracting and maintaining the knowledge embedded into 3D models. Such knowledge usually cannot be simply identified and strongly depends on the specific application domain. In this paper, we present our work in combining segmentation and merging procedures in order to segment a manifold object. We also provide an interface for browsing the obtained decomposition discovering, for each components, the associated properties. This activity has been carried out as part of our semantic web system called be-SMART.Categories and Subject Descriptors (according to ACM CCS): I.3.5 [Computer Graphics]: Computational Geometry and Object Modeling: Curve, surface, solid and object representationsCombining Segmentations for Understanding and Annotating 3D Objects
