These are books enriched with supporting media, like images and sound, to reach broader audiences and enlarge their usage possibilities. The architecture is based on automating the books' production process, increasing their availability. It also enjoys a high flexibility degree, allowing the production of books that can be read either with off-the-shelf software or specialized digital book players.
