The methods are used in wide variety of domains from graph drawing to robot motion. This paper is dedicated to virtual world exploration techniques which have to help a human being to understand a 3d scene. Improved methods of viewpoint quality estimation are presented in the paper. Using these methods, a real-time technique allowing to choose a good viewpoint for a virtual scene is also proposed. Keywords: Scene understanding, Automatic virtual camera, Good point of view, Visibility.
