Workshop on Computer Graphics Education (CGE04)
A workshop on computer graphics education was held jointly with ACM SIGGRAPH at
Zhejiang University,
Hangzhou, China, June 2-5, 2004.
The web site, http://www.cad.zju.edu.cn/cge04/
has more information.
In order to make the workshop as productive as possible, enrollment was limited.
Participants were selected based on position papers submitted for review by the
international programme committee.
A new project, Computer Graphics Educational Materials Source (CGEMS), has been
launched by Eurographics and ACM SIGGRAPH. CGEMS is an emerging online refereed
repository for curricular materials related to computer graphics.
CGEMS will encompass as many disciplines as possible that incorporate computer
graphics, including computer science, math, physics, graphic arts, and "fine"
art to name a few. The server is now up and running. Please visit the site at
http://cgems.inesc.pt
The CGEMS project was presented at the conference Eurographics 2004 in Grenoble
(France), where two sessions were dedicated to educational issues. The slides
of the presentation can be downloaded (also as handout).
